Wowee, what an
exciting past few weeks it has been for Wrecked.
We've recently played some really good shows like
the Boogie and Boomerang's and had a really good
time meeting lots of new and cool people.
That's why it was a big surprise when last night our
drummer was a no-call, no-show to my brother's party
which Wrecked was scheduled to play last night.
As a result his services will no longer be requested
for Wrecked.
At this time we are looking for a drummer. We
are looking for someone dedicated to their craft who
is willing to push their limits to create new and
interesting heavy music. Please send a message to
our myspace page or call 513-317-3266 to talk to
Kent.
Regardless of the situation we still went on thanks
to some good friends. Thank you to Adrian
Agapie for bringing his drum kit for us to use and
also doing a stellar job of playing Sad But True.
Thank you to Wade Knight for filling in on quite a
few songs on drums and helping us get through the
night. Thank you to my brother Doug for
putting on a really good party every year.
Thank you to the crowd who stuck around and had fun
watching our little train wreck. Thank you to
Kevin Stuhrenberg for supplying the P.A. system and
to Jeff Smerdel for running the sound in the adverse
conditions we were faced with. It was tough
but we fought through it and had a good time anyway.
We've got a tough road ahead of us with seven shows
to finish out the year before we go on hiatus
through the months of November and December.
Our new guitar player, Adam Agapie, is learning all
of our stuff and he will do a fine job. Matt
Beach has offered to play drums for any of the dates
that he is available. We'll keep everyone
posted and make updates in the event that we may
have to cancel a show.
Also, moving forward, Wrecked will be concentrating
mainly on original material and will only play
limited covers shows.
We hope that we'll see some of you at our upcoming
shows. We will get through this tough time
stronger than ever.
Thanks to Doug Sloan for all of his years with
the band. You will be missed by many.
